Our Story
AussieSurf Pro was born from a simple dream shared by three passionate surfers on the beaches of Byron Bay in 2015. What started as weekend surf sessions with friends evolved into Australia's premier eco-conscious surfing academy. Our founders, tired of seeing plastic waste washing up on their favorite breaks, decided to create a surf school that not only taught the art of wave riding but also championed ocean conservation.
From humble beginnings with just two surfboards and endless enthusiasm, we've grown into a community of over 500 dedicated surfers, all united by our love for Australia's pristine coastlines. Today, we operate across the Gold Coast, Byron Bay, and Margaret River, offering world-class instruction while maintaining our commitment to sustainable surfing practices.
Every wave we catch, every student we teach, and every beach cleanup we organize reflects our core belief: surfing is not just a sport, it's a way of life that connects us deeply with the ocean and each other.

Head Instructor & Co-Founder
Former pro surfer with 15 years of competition experience. Reef's passion for teaching and ocean conservation drives our instructional philosophy. ISA Level 2 certified with expertise in advanced wave reading techniques.
Marina Coastal
Marine Biologist & Eco Program Director
PhD in Marine Biology from University of Queensland. Marina leads our environmental initiatives and educates students about ocean ecosystems. Her research on surf break conservation has been published internationally.
Phoenix Saltwater
Advanced Instructor & Safety Coordinator
Bronze Medallion holder and rescue specialist with over 2000 hours of surf instruction. Phoenix specializes in advanced techniques and high-performance surfing at challenging breaks like Margaret River.
